Claypool Electric Inc. was chosen to assist Mt. Carmel Health System upgrade its emergency power infrastructure at its Mt. Carmel East Facility. This complex project required an extensive amount of planning and coordination with the hospital to ensure success while maintaining power to critical hospital systems. After substantial preparation Claypool Electric employees worked over three shifts for multiple weeks to ensure that this project was completed on time and with minimal disruption to the working hospital.
Claypool Electric performed the following:
- Installed three new 2-megawatt Caterpillar generators
- Replaced 9 and installed 5 new Automatic Transfer
Switches for emergency power systems. - Installed 3 new unit substations.
- Assisted client in tracing 158 distribution
panels for a circuit identification project. - Coordinated with client to complete in excess of 90
scheduled outages to facilitate new generator upgrades and unit substation replacement.
