We are proud to have been selected for the construction team on an 80,000sq-ft a aluminum processing facility in Central Ohio. This project has gone from an empty field to a completed facility in less than twelve months. Our experienced team were involved in extensive pre-construction design and on the fly modifications to make sure we gave our client the best value per dollar electrical installation.
The project started with the rerouting and replacement of an existing 15kV overhead feeder. The overhead feeder was replaced with a medium-voltage interlocked armor cable in cable tray. The project included two new pad mount transformers, relocating of an existing pad mount transformers and a 15kV 600A air switch line-up. The facility includes two 4,000 amp 480V electrical services, distribution switchgear and several motor control centers. The electrical distribution is accomplished with multi-level cable tray system and interlocked-armor branch and feeder cables. Special systems included structured cabling, fire alarm, lighting controls and CO2 fire suppression system. The facility has two paint lines where Class 1 Division 1 electrical systems were installed. | |
